Dallas Aquarium

We took a day trip down to the Aquarium in Dallas since both boys love love love animals right now. This first guy is a shoe-bill, and Gammy's favorite bird. This one's for her! It's like the bird knew and was right at the front of the exhibit for us. And pardon Ian's awkward hand placement...the other picture we have in front of this magnificent bird, Ian's picking his nose and Oliver looks like he's about to fall asleep...

More critters - a tree kangaroo.

And monkeys eating each other's lice just feet away from us!

This was a very curious little guy. I enjoyed watching his pupils constantly change size as he focused on all the onlookers. Yes, I'm weird, but in my defense I have never claimed to be normal.

I think they're both eyeballing each other with the same thought.

And more critters

Brotherly love

Actually, they were hugging and ended up holding hands for the next several animals. Totally melts my heart!

Now we're getting to the underwater life!

LUNCH!!! Oliver's ready!

Ian?

Ian? You look a wee bit sleepy.

And literally 10 seconds later...

Love!

We finished lunch and continued to the tunnels of fish!

And this guy

SHARK tunnel!

Ian's still sleeping, now on Nich's far more comfy shoulder

The second he woke up he yelled "Fish! FISH!! FISH!!!" with lots of pointing. I think he woke up in his own personal heaven

Kisses. These boys sure love each other. Again, heart melting here

My totally handsome husband checking out the man-eaters

YES!

And one of Oliver's favorite places

Penguins! And just something we noticed while hanging out with these little guys...they poop. I mean, a LOT. Like half their body weight is squirted out of their behinds each time. Very entertaining to a group of males, I have to say...

We think this turtle was trying to get closer to the heat lamp on this chilly day.

We had a marvelous adventure at the aquarium!
